I'll die with these three chords in my hand I've tried many times but i don't understand pushing yourself out on the ledge then pulling yourself back from the edge you sleep with your eyes wide shut as I go to sleep and dream of a lie you go to sleep with your eyes wide shut and I'm dreaming of the time that I fall back to you my chords are all broken twisted in doubt i whispered my plans when i meant to shout we've been left behind in races we've learned a part of a plan for the bridges we burned you sleep with your eyes wide shut as I go to sleep and dream of a lie you go to sleep with your eyes wide shut and I'm dreaming of the time that I fall back to you my chords are all broken twisted in doubt I made up my plans and then began to shout Trace your echo back to its call there's no one there you stumble and fall
2.
By the river that you sold me down 'I got bills to pay' 'I've got mouths to feed' You turned them away put the shutters down 'they had bills to pay' 'they had lives to lead' You hear the ship breaking on the rocks as we sail straight on the same old course lessons learned and lessons that were lost as we sail straight on the same old course Took 40 years just to salt the earth you wanted it and we paid for it you can't reach out if it's not there you wanted this and we pay for it ------------------ selling maps on the shifting tide to those with power not those that died pay the piper to spin your lies cover your head and close your eyes
3.
your biggest mistake is the lies you've taken for granted you underestimate the society you hate and attack spreading your hate for fools to inhale suffocate them, steal their voice repeating a lie don't make it right we see through it, time and again cos white lies & puppets won't go changing our minds the white lies & puppets the truth takes its time your strength is illusion I've seen the confusion in the ranks the walls coming down this illusion won't drown out the truth and we make a choice for hope is the noise that i'm hearing, in the street the wall will come down and history will find out the evil that kept you in power cos white lies & puppets won't go changing our minds the white lies & puppets the truth takes its time see folk on their knees your insecurities won't allow you to understand this is not for one man this is bigger than you and the circles you choose this is about all of us rising up in disgust at corruption and hate and the lives it takes
4.
Totes emosh We're born into a system of restraint that will beat you down and beat you into shape the cogs will grind and bend you off your course tired of singing` to the dark until you're hoarse your principles they taught you as you grew treated like illusion when you're through Settle down and settle for much less not all of us can keep this on our chest and the world wants me to settle for less and I don't know if I can a million sleeping people said thats just the way things are we're told about our limits from our birth to make you understand your little worth the gods and institutions of the past with open minds how could they ever last the sea will come and wash away the sand and people will awake and use their hands to build a life worth living for today the waves will crash and carry them away I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IN THE FALSITY OF FEELINGS THAT RUN THROUGH ME LIKE A HARMONY OF SOUND THE WORLD CAN CHANGE AND IT STARTS WITH ME AND THEY WON'T EVER SETTLE DOWN

about

Featuring 3 new songs written and recorded in a budget 'lock-down' home studio and one old classic re-recorded in a nicer environment. This release reflects a little more polish in the process but retaining the dynamics of writing politically relevant songs as they unfold.

If you purchase the album there's also a 5th song that just could not be missed out of the collection. A song about proto-socialist pirates of the 18th century (true story) and a thought experiment/musing of the consequences that this would have in the modern world.

I do hope you enjoy. Spread the good word and spread the hope. Change is the only constant.
