How could you know it's missing when you've never even felt this way before? And how would you describe a colour that you've never seen before? And this smile on my face will not go as long as you exist After years and years of waiting well I still don't think I was prepared for this Somewhere hiding in the spectrum between the blues the red and greens there's another layer to this world that, I'd never seen there's a colour hiding in between and it's burning oh so clear when you see it for the first time, it will change your life it will change your life my dear And I know we don't do fate because we're so in love with being free but it's not constraint when you find someone who will let you be we're living for a principle that is so out of reach of this world and the colours come on down and shake your soul to the ground Somewhere hiding in the spectrum between the blues the red and greens there's another layer to this world that, I'd never seen there's a colour hiding in between and it's burning oh so clear when you see it for the first time, it will change your life it will change your life my dear trying to pour my soul to paper trying to find the words to describe these feelings but i'll never come close, never come close, never come close and that's the point Somewhere hiding in the spectrum between the blues the red and greens there's another layer to this world that, I'd never seen there's a colour hiding in between and it's burning oh so clear when you see it for the first time, it will change your life it will change your life my dear

Stumped 03:08
well i woke up with a few less brain cells rattling in my head crawled downstairs and made some plans to get back to my bed and on the train i start, to pine for you I held onto the train seat trying to avoid the feeling of causing a disturbance from my stomach that is reeling from the night before, i'll be home soon why do we do this to ourselves Gwe should know better but we won't We roll into the station as i gather all the pieces my ale soaked clothes and dirty shirt covered all in creases i feel so sorry, for all the other passengers i bump into some people while I'm hobbling through the station keeping balance all the while's a tricky situation to be dealing with, as i pine for you why do we do this to ourselves we should know better but we won't i climb out of a taxi and i go up to my backdoor i tell her all the stupid things i did the night before she laughs and shakes her head, why i pine for you

Totes emosh 03:05
We're born into a system of restraint that will beat you down and beat you into shape the cos will grind and bend you off your course tired of singing to the dark until you're hoarse the principles they taught you as you grew treated like illusion when you're through oh settle down and settle for much less not all of us can keep this on our chest and the world wants me to settle for less but i don't know if i can there's a million sleeping people said that's just the way things are ...

Libertalia 03:26
If I could find a sailing ship at sea take all of my friends and family hitch a wind and sail so far away singing songs and hauling ropes all day and we'd hail to a flag a flag with no name we'd hail to a flag a flag with no shame we'd leave behind the book and rules that we weren't in a vision of our liberty at last we tasted freedom on the waves picking up more people as we sailed and the song of Libertalia called near we'd run up our flag a flag with no fear at last we left our fair old england took the best parts with us in the end our holy book is written on the wind in music and the stories that we'd sing and the song of Libertalia called near we'd run up our flag a flag with no fear

when the spade feels heavy in your hand time to put it down when the holes so deep you lost the ground when the weight of all this guilt is gonna bring you down time to just let go and turn around well you won't take me well you won't take me alive i'll fight it till the end avoiding all the pressures feels like holding back the tide surrounded by a sea of names feeling alone inside walking all day in someones shoes they fall apart like lies buried colour comes to light just behind your eyes well you won't take me well you won't take me alive i'll fight it till the end as the storm blows from the west time to knuckle down disconnected empty hearts gotta hold your ground if all the world is still a stage and the show won't stop one by one we'll bleed out loud who'll be the last to drop? well you won't take me well you won't take me alive i'll fight it till the end

and we could walk for miles in the dark the sea will change the ground and cliff face and we will march for hours in the dark your heart will change your soul and your face

Broken moon 03:07
and like a broken moon orbit around you and i don't know anything better than this and like a crazy fool i give it all to you And I don't need anything else this is it chasing footsteps in the snow chasing trails that i can't follow left these foot prints on my soul and i can't seem to let them go I wish you'd understand you tore my world in two with one phrase in the night when we met And you say more than words with those star lit eyes than i've heard ever in my life chasing footsteps in the snow chasing trails that i can't follow left these foot prints on my soul and i can't seem to let them go and like a broken moon without the other half I wander through the night on my own casting half a shadow on the icy ground i hold on to the thought of your return chasing footsteps in the snow chasing trails that i can't follow left these foot prints on my soul and i can't seem to let them go

Almost close 03:43
I thought I'd been close enough to get a little glimpse of the life that you all live when you're almost close I think i've played long enough to get a little taste of the feeling you live on when you're almost close in the turning of the season as the leaves fall down round my head I see it clearly now a glimpse of what I'd said I think i've made the promises to get a little move on the route you're carvin out the ripples carry on I think I've done the time and got the fire in my eye the fire you're movin on the one that burns your gut in the turning of the season as the leaves fall down round my head I see it clearly now a glimpse of what I'd said I never wanted that much enough to fill my glass when the lightning strikes when you're almost close

about

"A bit of a car crash production wise but some very sincere gems here among the background noise and odd accompaniment choices" - Derbyshire Journal of Archaic Medical Practices & Shamanism

A collection of songs. Some written over the last few years, some written very recently & a lot left on paper and half-recorded. Some political songs ,some love songs and even a light hearted song which is usually not on my agenda. Please listen and enjoy, thank you.

Soon to be available on spotify/amazons/appley musics etc etc...

Recorded in my house over the summer holidays from work. Still quite rough in comparison but cheap and very fun to try and learn some new tricks. I hope the songs themselves make up for any shortcomings in clarity.
